The Community & The Mosque
Established in 1978, the Muslim Community at Neuropsychiatric Hospital Aro emerged when Muslim staff, particularly in the Nursing Department, faced challenges observing their daily prayers and Jumat services due to duty commitments.
What started as a modest "board-off" space in 1979 evolved into a mission. After years of persistence, approval was granted in 2008 by Provost Dr. Adegboyega Ogunlesi. Today, a classical mosque stands as an edifice of faith, built almost entirely (98%) through the direct monthly contributions of Muslim staff members.

The Non-Interest Cooperative
Established in 2008 to provide Halal financial solutions and prevent the iniquity of Riba (Interest).
Our Origin
Initiated by Alhaja Rukayat Abosede Agbelu following Usrah lectures on the dangers of Riba. It was born from a desire to save our Aakhirah (hereafter) through ethical finance.
Service Growth
We address member challenges through unconditional, timely disbursement of loans, commodity trading, and flexible repayment—all strictly without interest.
Future Outlook
Rooted in efficient management and Shariah compliance, we continue to adopt new orders that follow Halal initiatives for the benefit of the community.
